Kidnapped Fox News Journalists Convert To Islam

GAZA (Reuters) - Two kidnapped Fox journalists appeared on a new videotape released by their captors on Sunday in the Gaza Strip, in which the reporters said they had converted to Islam, the Fox News Channel said.

Both journalists appeared to be in good health in the new video. They were seized on August 14.

They were shown separately sitting cross-legged, reading a statement which Fox said was an announcement that they had converted to Islam. At times in the video they were wearing long Muslim robes.

Wiig called on leaders of the West to stop "hiding behind the 'I don't negotiate with terrorists' myth". He then read some words in Arabic.

Either these conversions were under coercion, or this was planned from the beginning. Either way, what they are saying should be ignored.

My way of negotiatiing with terrorists is to shoot them and their supporters.

60 Years Ago, Yesterday (August 1, 1946)

The Battle of Athens, Tennessee - On August 1, 1946, in a bid to end political corruption in their community World War II veterans in Athens, Tennessee put together a non-partisan ticket of candidates to oust the corrupt political machine that controlled their community. When the local sherriff attempted to steal the election and stuff the ballot boxes, the veterans gathered arms and laid seige to the jail where the ballot boxes were taken. The shooting continued until, in the pre-dawn hours of August 2, 1946 the veterans started throwing dynamite at the jail. After this, the sherrif surrendered and the ballots were counted. The veterans won.

I believe there are two things we can learn from this:
1. Your vote matters. This is especially true in local politics. Go out and vote.
2. There are times when armed rebellion is appropriate and necessary. Be prepared for it.

Interesting Take on Racism

Another liberal lie

I'm black and feeling more and more angered by the great hoax liberals and the news media have foisted on my family about Republicans. Minimal research yielded facts to the contrary.

A Republican president, George W. Bush, holds the record for most black cabinet-level appointees.

Texas has three statewide elected black Republicans; Democrats have zero. The new vice chairman of the Texas Republican Party is black.

Republican primaries for November elections have chosen blacks for two governorships and one U.S. Senate seat. Democrats, in contrast, have zero.

The highest-ranking black government officials in history, Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell, both were appointed by a Republican president.

A Republican president freed the slaves, the Republican Party was founded in the resistance movement to slavery and the overwhelming majority of Dr. Martin Luther King's adversaries were Democrats. My family feels so duped.

I got a letter from the Veterans Administration today. I'm one of the people who had their information stolen. Shit, I don't even consider myself a veteran. I received a medical discharge when I was in the middle of basic training in 1988.
This does bring to mind a related subject, information security. People need to realize that they can not take sensitive information out of the office. This includes HR, billing and several other sectors of information.
